which is") is physical, real, or factual existence. The British
philosopher Roy Bhaskar (15 May 1944 – 19 November 2014), who was
closely associated with the philosophical movement of Critical Realism

John Scotus Eriugena, or Johannes Scotus Erigena (c. 815 – c. 877) was
an Irish theologian, neoplatonist philosopher, and poet. He wrote a
number of works, but is best known today for having written The Division
of Nature, which has been called the final achievement of ancient
philosophy, a work which "synthesizes the philosophical accomplishments
of fifteen centuries."

As described by Harald Atmanspacher, quantum brain dynamics theory is
the most fundamental theory of matter that is currently available, it is
a legitimate question to ask whether quantum theory can help us to

Within philosophy, *ONTIC* (from the Greek ὄν, genitive ὄντος: "of that
which is") is physical, real, or factual existence. The British
philosopher Roy Bhaskar (15 May 1944 – 19 November 2014), who was closely
associated with the philosophical movement of Critical Realism writes:

"I differentiate the '*ONTIC*' ('*ONTICAL*' etc.) from the 'ontological'. I
employ the former to refer to:

John Scotus Eriugena, or Johannes Scotus Erigena (c. 815 – c. 877) was an
Irish theologian, neoplatonist philosopher, and poet. He wrote a number of
works, but is best known today for having written The Division of Nature,
which has been called the final achievement of ancient philosophy, a work
which "synthesizes the philosophical accomplishments of fifteen centuries."

The Latin title De divisione naturae (Περί φύσεων) refers to these four
divisions of nature:

As described by Harald Atmanspacher, quantum brain dynamics theory is the
most fundamental theory of matter that is currently available, it is a
legitimate question to ask whether quantum theory can help us to understand
consciousness. He writes extensively about the philosophy of science,

stochasticity. He explains that "*ONTIC* states describe all properties of

This Ode comes from For the Fallen, a poem by the English poet and writer
Laurence Binyon and was published in London in the Winnowing Fan; Poems of
the Great War in 1914. The verse, which became the League Ode, was already
used in association with commemoration services in Australia in 1921.

Binyon and was written in the early days of World War One. By mid September
1914, less than seven weeks after the outbreak of war, the British
Expeditionary Force in France had already suffered severe casualties. Long
lists of the dead and wounded appeared in British newspapers. It was
against this background that Binyon wrote For the Fallen. The poem was
first published in The Times on 21 September 1914 using the word 'condemn'.

about Copernicus's heliocentric system of the cosmos, he accepted it
immediately. In the ensuing years he brought to his astronomy a lively

doubt delighted to find that the relative spacings [by which he determined

However, the pattern of the cosmos did not yield easily to his geometrical
imaginings.

The Pythagorean (c. 570 – 495 BCE) Wheel of Numbers which perhaps conveys
Theodorus' work which has been lost, Plato put Theodorus into his dialogue
Theaetetus, which tells of his work. It is assumed that Theodorus had
proved that all of the square roots of non-square integers from 3 to 17 are
irrational by means of the Spiral of Theodorus.

Plato does not attribute the irrationality of the square root of 2 to
Theodorus, because it was well known before him. Theodorus and Theaetetus
split the rational numbers and irrational numbers into different
categories.

consisted of a star catalogue and planetary tables published by Johannes
Kepler in 1627, using some observational data collected by Tycho Brahe. The
tables are named as Rudolphine in memory of Rudolf II, Holy Roman Emperor.

Kepler was compelled to abandon the centuries-old obsession with circular
motion. His respect for the facticity of nature meant that a discrepancy of
a mere eight minutes of arc between the observed and calculated positions
of the planet Mars was sufficient to require him to produce a new model of
planetary orbits. 'I WAS ALMOST DRIVEN TO MADNESS IN CONSIDERING AND
CALCULATING THIS MATTER', he wrote, but in the end he discovered that the
orbit of Mars was an ellipse. After centuries of belief in the circle as a
symbol of heavenly perfection he made this [foundational] discovery with
great reluctance. 'I HAVE LAID A MONSTROUS EGG', he remarked.

Kepler’s discovery can be viewed as a triumph of empiricism over dogmatism.
Nevertheless it reflected the deep connection between scientific and
theological thinking that was characteristic of the age. In that the
ellipse could be said to be a mixture of a circle (symbolising the
spiritual) and a straight line (associated with the material), Kepler
regarded an elliptical orbit as one in which the ideal circularity has been
diluted with a small degree of straightness, a consequence of the
materiality of the planets. Furthermore, he insisted that planetary motions
were the result of a real physical force, emanating from the sun, thus
providing the germ of an idea for Newton's (25 December 1642 – 20 March
1726/27 as Old and New Style Calendar) work on gravitation.

For Kepler geometry provided a powerful key to understanding the entire
created world. Indeed, he claimed that 'GEOMETRY EXISTED BEFORE THE
CREATION, IS CO-ETERNAL WITH THE MIND OF GOD, IS GOD HIMSELF. . . .
GEOMETRY PROVIDED GOD WITH A MODEL FOR THE CREATION’. ‘IT IS ABSOLUTELY
NECESSARY,’ he continued, ‘THAT THE WORK OF SUCH A PERFECT CREATOR SHOULD
BE OF THE GREATEST BEAUTY’. The idea of cosmic beauty and harmony
continually underpinned his search for mathematical relationships in the
planetary data.

Ultimately he discovered three fundamental laws of planetary motion:

#1) Each planet moves in an elliptical orbit with the sun at a focus of the
ellipse.
#2) The line between the sun and any planet marks out equal areas in equal
times.
#3) The square of the time for a planet to travel one orbit is proportional
to the cube of its mean distance from the sun.

The BOOK OF JUBILEES was only translated by R.H. Charles in 1913 and
fragments were found amongst the DEAD SEA SCROLLS after World War II.

The value 72J conveys 12 x 6J which is a magic sum from which the tropical
year can be derived as an extension of Kepler's work (published between
1609 and 1619) improved the heliocentric theory of Nicolaus Copernicus,
explaining how the planets' speeds varied, and using elliptical orbits
rather than circular orbits with epicycles:

BECAUSE THIS IS DISTINCT FROM THE JULIAN CALENDAR AS THE BASIS OF ROMAN
EMPIRE GOVERNANCE IT IS THE ONLY WAY TO COSMOLOGICALLY ESTABLISH THE
PREROGATIVE OF BRITISH EMPIRE GOVERNANCE WHICH ADOPTED BY PARLIAMENTARY
LEGISLATIVE REFORM OF 1750-52 THE EQUIVALENT OF THE PAPAL GREGORIAN REFORMS
OF 1582.

WHICH IS PARTICULARLY IMPORTANT GIVEN THIS ADDITIONAL ARTEFACT AS THE 1993
TRANSLATION OF THE 4 BCE CHINESE DAOIST HAN DYNASTY PUBLISHED WORK TITLED
“CANON OF SUPREME MYSTERY” WHICH ASSIGNED THE I CHING (AS THE BASIS OF
HETEROS NUMBER) TO:

60 x 6 7/80 days = 365.25 days

Another part of Kepler's theological concern was that Scripture be
interpreted aright, so that no conflict should appear between the 'BOOK OF
SCRIPTURE' and the 'BOOK OF NATURE’. If the Reformation saw Protestants and
Catholics striving to outdo each other in defending the authority of
Scripture, this did not inhibit criticism of naive literalism. Indeed,
writing in the same vein as John Calvin (10 July 1509 - 27 May 1564),
Kepler claimed that since Scripture is addressed to both 'SCIENTIFIC AND
IGNORANT MEN', it is bound to be worded in accordance with human senses, as
when the sun seems to move across the sky (see Psalm 19 and Joshua 10 for
example). Again, 'IF ANYONE ALLEGES ON THE BASIS OF PSALM 24 . . . THAT THE
EARTH IS FLOATING ON THE WATERS, MAY IT NOT BE RIGHTLY SAID TO HIM THAT HE
OUGHT TO SET FREE THE HOLY SPIRIT AND SHOULD NOT DRAG HIM INTO THE SCHOOLS
OF PHYSICS TO MAKE A FOOL OF HIM?'

Perhaps it was Kepler's respect for the biblical picture of a created,
therefore contingent, *UNIVERSE* *THAT* *EVENTUALLY* *DREW* *HIM* *AWAY*
*FROM* *HIS* *CHERISHED* *NOTION* *OF* *MAGIC* *NUMBERS* *IN* *NATURE*:

development of the Scientific Revolution converged in the brilliant work of
Newton although, ultimately, it was the empirical that constituted the main
