capable of picking up the 4G/LTE signal?

I have raised the issue with Body Corporate as to whether it would be
improper to ask them whether they considered this technical issue of
recent installation of 4G/LTE mobile transmission towers as the source
for the Digital TV Signal Interference and being expressly cognisant of
that technical issue, whether they did take the manifold necessary steps
to remedy it?

I have today purchased 2 x 4G/LTE Filter for Digital TV Reception @
$13.45 each which is described as performing the following function
“Since the re-stacking of Digital TV transmissions has already begun,
pretty soon 4G/LTE mobile phone signals will start being transmitted on
the old UHF TV channels 52-69. Of course, this means that UHF antennas
will be picking up those signals, and interfering with Digital TV
reception. When this filter is plugged into the back of a digital TV
receiver it will block unwanted signals from 4G/LTE mobile transmitters
giving you clear uninterrupted TV reception.

Specifications:
- In-line coax connection
- Waterproof design
- Frequency pass range: 5-694MHz
- Insertion loss:<3dB
- LTE band rejection: 720-1000MHz, <40dB”

It's likely that the 4G/LTE filtering needs to occur at the antenna and
signal booster source rather than down the line at the TV end.

Does Optus technical services have any advice on this technical matter?

ON 27 FEBRUARY 2016: "Following our telephone chat Marcel, I today
advised the body corporate and the TV antenna technicians that you had
checked the type and strength of the actual signals being emitted from
each of the Optus towers within proximity to where I've been receiving
the digital TV transmission interference problems.

And as I ought to have confirmed from my own mobile, and which you
subsequently did, the nearest tower in proximity wasn't presently
emitting a 4G/LTE signal despite having previously received advice Optus
that it was being upgraded to such a capacity.

So the source of the problem, if the hypothesis is still incorrect, is
something which we have to pursue with Telstra. Following on from your
suggestion, that I try turning off my mobile (Optus carrier), I'll
correspond to each of the other tenants and determine if they have
Telstra as their mobile carrier and whether they too get a 4G/LTE
signal--and so determine to further investigate the proximity of the
Telstra mobile as a probable cause.

As I mentioned to you Marcel, I did have an hour long TV digital
transmission signal disruption which affected all channels earlier that
day. And otherwise for the remainder of the day, the normally affected
channels were receiving a signal strength of between 48-56% which is
more than adequate.

Unfortunately I don't have contacts with Telstra so as to resolve the

My apologies for having to pursue with you, the elimination of

The issue is whether there is any common knowledge and advice by Optus
regarding digital TV signal interference being reported in the Sale,
Gippsland (or anywhere else for that matter) area since the 4G LTE mobile
tower was installed on 25 Apr 2015? I've found some comments on the www
which indicates such a known problem which we also appear to have?
From my www-search I have found the following snippet: “The problems

The 4G/LTE network by Telstra and Optus occurred after I moved into my
pre4sent residential Unit and would account for there not being the same
issue of TV signal interference at that time.

Okay so we currently know that that an TV antenna installation company have
recently replaced the originally installed 1986 TV antennas by replacing
them with digital antennas (but do these filter specifically for 4G LTE
transmission signals?) and did they also replace the actual signal boosters
themselves as the comment above suggests, which is also capable of picking
up the 4G/LTE signal?
I have raised the issue with Body Corporate as to whether it would be
improper to ask them whether they considered this technical issue of recent
installation of 4G/LTE mobile transmission towers as the source for the
Digital TV Signal Interference and being expressly cognisant of that
technical issue, whether they did take the manifold necessary steps to
remedy it?

It's likely that the 4G/LTE filtering needs to occur at the antenna and
signal booster source rather than down the line at the TV end.
Apart from being a ridiculous opinion (what difference would it make?), that is EXACTLY the OPPOSITE of what it says in the instructions you just posted.

Does Optus technical services have any advice on this technical matter?
27 FEBRUARY 2016: "Following our telephone chat Marcel, I today advised the
body corporate and the TV antenna technicians that you had checked the type
and strength of the actual signals being emitted from each of the Optus
towers within proximity to where I've been receiving the digital TV
transmission interference problems.
And as I ought to have confirmed from my own mobile, and which you
subsequently did, the nearest tower in proximity wasn't presently emitting
a 4G/LTE signal despite having previously received advice Optus that it was
being upgraded to such a capacity.
So the source of the problem, if the hypothesis is still incorrect, is
something which we have to pursue with Telstra. Following on from your
suggestion, that I try turning off my mobile (Optus carrier), I'll
correspond to each of the other tenants and determine if they have Telstra
as their mobile carrier and whether they too get a 4G/LTE signal--and so
determine to further investigate the proximity of the Telstra mobile as a
probable cause.
As I mentioned to you Marcel, I did have an hour long TV digital
transmission signal disruption which affected all channels earlier that
day. And otherwise for the remainder of the day, the normally affected
channels were receiving a signal strength of between 48-56% which is more
than adequate.
Unfortunately I don't have contacts with Telstra so as to resolve the
question any further. And I don't wish to be a crusader on the issue. So
I'm prepared to leave it in the hands of the technicians to pursue."
