Discussion:
NSW and Vic to act unilaterally on COVID-19 shutdown, realize SloMo is irrelevent

Vic school holidays will now start on Tuesday, I understand that NSW
will follow suit or do so very shortly. Other non-essential services
will be shut down, don't worry pez supermarkets will be open for your
goon-bags.

Wonder if SloMo will survive this crisis, he screwed up on the
bush-fires and is well behind the eight-ball on the COVID-19nresponse.

NSW, Victoria move to comprehensive shutdown of non-essential services
amid coronavirus pandemic
Key points:
The shutdowns in Victoria and NSW will not effect supermarkets,
pharmacies and banks
Victoria will bring forward school holidays to begin on Tuesday
The Government will also consider locking down COVID-19 "red
zones", as has been done in Wuhan and parts of Europe

Went to Aldi Saturday, the booze on shelves is now being hit
As usual no toilet paper still, the other shelves are just crap no one
ever buys. Wonder if it will click to managers to stop buying the
stuff no one ever wants?

School holidays where kids locked up in homes, sounds boring.
But in desperate times.

Hope Berejiklian stand firm and brings in proper shut down restrictions
in NSW and also shuts the school in the light of SloMo's lily livered

outside the local coffee shop that is so safe NOT.

I suppose I'm OK till the excellent coffee grounds run out :-( Booze

Fortunately our Tassie home is ideal for this situation - remote area
and self sufficient. We don't need to go anywhere for a few months, if
it came to that. Mind you, we flew to Melbourne and returned by boat a
week ago... Our son is stuck in Thailand at the moment and really
hoping the usual visa process can be bypassed at some stage, as
otherwise it'll take months to get it finalised.

If I'm to be isolated a farm with National Parks nearby is ideal at
least we can get out of the house. Wouldn't say that we're self
sufficient but will survive if the shit really hits the fan.

He's never shown much interest in Australia, he's only 17. OK, well
maybe a bit (bikes, shooting etc.) but coming to Tassie would be a
massive cultural shock for him if he was stuck here long term. So we
never saw this as something urgent. It's more my wife and myself who
would at least like the option available. He's quite safe where he is,
it's just the uncertainty as to when we (or just my wife) can travel
to and from Thailand again.

Unless something has changed in the past couple of days (which is
possible I guess) from what I have read on homeaffairs.com.au any
immediate family can still come to Australia - only problem is getting
a visa now would presumably take even longer than normal.

If the chooks couldn't lay winners I'm implying we would have eaten
them, however we may need the eggs if things get bad ;-).

Laying well at the moment so may pickle some more eggs for when they
slow down, not actually for 'prepping' purposes I love pickled eggs and
find them very useful.

Very nice in salads particularly potato salad imo. I just use a normal
cold pickling mixture, no cloves in the pickling spice as it makes them
go grey, over hard boiled eggs.
If you want to make them garish use the juice from tinned beetroot for
some of the vinegar.

Get yourself a cheap and good microwave egg boiler
Fill with water to just below the bottom of Aluminum egg holder

1000 watt microwave 700 gram eggs hard boiled 5 minutes for four eggs
each microwave needs different times lower by 10 seconds a time to get
it right. or vice versa.. Mine is 4:30 seconds for hard boiled

Cool eggs down in water and peel from the blunt end is easier

Good exists all around us and sometimes those that the media love to hate, are the ones actually contributing to their community and helping those in need. It is unfortunate that the media choose to ignore this, and continue their hate attacks on these people.

Two days after the devastating 911 attacks, Donald Trump sent over 200 workers to Ground Zero, to help find and identify victims. He contributed to Americans well before he had Presidential aspirations but you will not be able to find any substantial reporting on this by mainstream media.

Trump must be congratulated for keeping his election promises,
a rarity in modern politics.
The paradox of his administration is why senior people have
been appointed who do not support his bold anti-establishment
policy agenda,especially in winding back
USA foreign intervention

Wonder if SloMo will survive this crisis, he screwed up on the

I reckon he will probably win the next election, and wouldn't be

Thing is, in real life just about everyone I come across (if the topic
comes up) seems to hate Morrison and his government.

Online is another matter though, I've noticed a significant percentage
of people seem to lap up everything he (or the mainstream 15 second
sound bite media regurgitates) says. You know, the ones who buy into
his divisive ideology. And I don't mean the trolls either.

I am beyond appalled by Morrision. Since I was 15 in 1979, I have
loathed John Howard and everything he stood for. But now old Johnny is
a very distant second as the one leader I have hated the most. This
government just has to go, one way or the other.

Personally i don't think much of the political leadership in this
country at the present. And really it doesn't make a scrap of difference
out here in the bush who is in. We all know no matter who gets in,
prices go up, rates go up, services get less. So I'm a happy little
mushroom out here, As long as i have a glass (or 2 ) of red wine with
dinner, i'm a happy old fella.

Wonder if SloMo will survive this crisis, he screwed up on the
bush-fires and is well behind the eight-ball on the COVID-19nresponse.
I reckon he will probably win the next election, and wouldn't be
surprised if it's by a wide margin. Do not ever assume the voting
public are objective, or intelligent when it comes to politics. The
views I've been reading by a significant proportion of the population
is utterly depressing.
Indeed. Look at stupid Americans and Barack Obama.
Why? this is Aus.politics. FYI the Aus stands for Australia not Austin

Vic school holidays will now start on Tuesday, I understand that NSW
will follow suit or do so very shortly. Other non-essential services
will be shut down, don't worry pez supermarkets will be open for your
goon-bags.

You are that stupid to believe Australia runs Australia?
America snaps it's fingers and Australia jumps.

Every time I speak of the haters and losers
I do so with great love and affection.
They cannot help the fact that they were born fucked up!

The loudest whiners on Trump's withdrawal
from Paris Climate Change
are those who profit the most (like Al Gore).

I thought it was the One World Gov run by the Brotherhood's 'Prison
Wardens', Soros and Gore who like the Queen are cold-blooded shape
shifting humanoid reptilians from the constellation Draco

Well, not exactly the same situation, IMO. But if by that you mean
most people never looked beyond the surface when it came to Obama, and
seemed willingly blind to his actions, then yes.
