How is this off topic? You're talking about the US, that's the single
most relevant issue in Australian politics. If you talked about
Australian politics, then you would be off topic.

How is an off beat trolling Janithor ever ON TOPIC in aus.politics?
Go back to plumbing and sewer maintenance instead of farting up this

and take some enemas (old age must suck for you) before you return to

No, I'm killfiled by Fran and Dechucka, yet they are driving this. They
constantly talk about American politics, I would say it's at least
50-50. So, just following the Aussie lead - aus.politics is about
American politics, which means Australia is part of the US. Why else
would they obsess about the internal domestic politics of a single
country on the other side of the planet that has absolutely no effect on
them?

I fear what will happen to the USA if Biden wins. There are enough
alt-right crazies, those that the FBI etc say make up the biggest threat
of domestic terrorism, to make the BLM violence look like a walk in the

Yes, because street violence in America causes direct damage to
Australian cities. I think it has something to do with quantum

A perfect picture of all that's wrong with lefties -
I'm miserable & someone else is to blame.

If the Left so strongly supports 'diversity'
why do they spend so much time trying to close down
opinions different to their own?

'Diversity' is the new Orwellian doublespeak,
a Leftist propaganda tool to disguise the fact
they are trying to create a more uniform,
homogenous society, in their own image.

Australia will never be destroyed from the outside.
If we falter and lose our freedoms,
it will be because we were destroyed from the rot within

The far left seems to be a global phenomenon, they love to link
everything together. That's why your Australian lefties are talking
about internal American politics as if it were about Australia even
though it has absolutely nothing to do with them. I remember the lefty
Europeans and Canadians yammering about the lack of universal health
care in the US, as if it were their primary concern in life. Very strange.

BLM protests are mostly peaceful ... until the cops, Trumps secret police
and those alt-right militias turn up. That is when the fun starts.

The videos of what happens on the ground in some US states right now is
really frightening. Those "proud boys" with their huge assault grade
arsenal at the ready,(who are for now only beating up randomly non
violent protesters real bad with baseball bats and metal pipes) could
make the Taliban look like a loving and caring sweeties in comparison if
Trump lost the election (and actually bugger off afterwards into the
sunset, which is no way a certainty).
If Trump wins it could be almost as bad, as then these nasty creeps would
be emboldened to do whatever they like to who ever they dislike.

I think the US is at the brink of a civil war, a rather ugly one given
the fanaticism of people and the available weaponry.

Complete horseshit. Then again, like BLM, you're an overt Marxist, so
of course you support the violence and gaslight about who is responsible
for it.

Naah, it will be tribal warfare. So manyof those alt-right kooks are
'real individuals' they;ll never co-oerate and will end up shooting more
of their ilk then anything else. OTOH, it mght never ck off as they'll
spend so much of their time trying to work out how to accessorize,

Not sure about the 'average' gun owner but there are a lot of armed
extremists. Most Americans, like us, just want to get on with their lives
without to many hassles and unless they are severely effected won't do
anything.

Australians do not realize the difference in population
Australia's 20,000,000 population is only 6% of the US's

Means that 6% of US is the same as the population of Australia!
96,000,000 of Americans own guns, near 5 times the population of
Australia.

ISTR, it's about 120 guns for every 100 American citizens. But don't
quote me. The country is awash with guns but (again) IIRC, only abut 1
in 3 people own guns but of the ones who do own guns, they have a
tendency to own many. That doesnt' surprise me as when I onwed guns, I
owned multiple ones as not all guns suit all applications. The major
difference is that gun owners like me, can't understand the need of US
gun nutters to won guns like assault rifles - no god for hunting and
even less use for euthanasing farm animals like a cow or a horse or
getting rid of farm vermin.

Yep - just googled - 120.5 guns per 100:

Neither is a gun riddled society like the US. Your right to bear arms
comes from a creation created by man, not an innate human right from the
Flying Spaghetti Monster, which may be changed by your betters without
you getting a vote.

ISTR, it's about 120 guns for every 100 American citizens. But don't
quote me. The country is awash with guns but (again) IIRC, only abut 1
in 3 people own guns but of the ones who do own guns, they have a
tendency to own many. That doesnt' surprise me as when I onwed[sic] guns, I
owned multiple ones as not all guns suit all applications. The major
difference is that gun owners like me, can't understand the need of US
gun nutters to won[sic] guns like assault rifles - no god[sic] for hunting and
even less use for euthanasing farm animals like a cow or a horse or
getting rid of farm vermin.
The customs of your tribe are not laws of nature.
Neither is a gun riddled society like the US. Your right to bear arms
comes from a creation created by man...
It was recognized by our common ancestors, the English, and retained when Americans won
independence. Apparently Australians didn't feel the need to keep this right. Once surrendered, it
won't be given back.

No. Our constitution recognizes that we have rights.

We had the right when we were British subjects, we used the right to win our independence, and we
retained the right when we wrote our constitution.

It's so strange how obsessed some Australians, Canadians, and Europeans
are with internal US politics that has absolutely nothing to do with
them. Like, bizarrely obsessed.

I don't know, I don't live in Australia, I've never been there, probably
will never go. So I don't give a fuck what you do in your country, it's
your country, enjoy. But then I'm relatively sane.

Ah!! O.K., so at 120.5 per 100 that makes it approx 360 million
guns/weapons in circulation in U.S. of A population.

Meanwhile Australia has approx 14.5 guns per 100 pers, so approx 3.8
million guns/weapons with-in its 26 million pop!

I think the US is at the brink of a civil war, a rather ugly one given
the fanaticism of people and the available weaponry.
Naah, it will be tribal warfare. So manyof those alt-right kooks are
'real individuals' they;ll never co-oerate and will end up shooting more
of their ilk then anything else. OTOH, it mght never ck off as they'll
spend so much of their time trying to work out how to accessorize,
starting with which gun will I use.
I'm thinking more about the real crazies like Timothy McVeigh and
Terry Nichols,
Oh come on!  Just how 'normal' do you think many of the 'average' US
gun owners actually are?
Not sure about the 'average' gun owner but there are a lot of armed
extremists. Most Americans, like us, just want to get on with their lives
without to many hassles and unless they are severely effected won't do
anything.
Waiiiiit a minute, most Americans are seppos and therefore are stupid
and horrible. Ask Fran, she's smart, she'll tell you. A nation of
325,000,000 people and we're all the same.

Oregon man shoots self in groin while showing off gun in supermarket
checkout line, cops say.

An Oregon man is on the mend after police say he accidentally shot
himself in the groin while flaunting a concealed handgun at a Lincoln
City supermarket.

The mishap occurred Sunday night when Nicholas J. Ellingford, 29,
brandished his Glock 9mm in the checkout line at McKay’s Market on U.S.
101 and tried to show it off to a buddy, according to the Lincoln City
Police Department.

Ellingford mistakenly pulled the trigger as he stuffed the piece back
into his pants, police said. A bullet tore through the gunslinger’s
groin and exited his thigh, just barely missing the man’s femoral artery.

I'm thinking more about the real crazies like Timothy McVeigh and Terry
Nichols,
Oh come on! Just how 'normal' do you think many of the 'average' US gun
owners actually are? That is if you compare them with the average gun
owner here in Oz?
That's just plain silly. There's about 100,000,000 gun owners in the U.S. compared to about 800,000
in Oz. What's "normal" down under doesn't really matter.

A working democracy can only function if rational thinking, factual
accuracy and clarity of mind is dominant within an enlightened population.
The ultimate US tragedy - the "quality" of that voting mob!
So, would these be the people who'd make "America Great Again" ?
I fear what will happen to the USA if Biden wins. There are enough
alt-right crazies, those that the FBI etc say make up the biggest threat
of domestic terrorism, to make the BLM violence look like a walk in the
park.
BLM protests are mostly peaceful ... until the cops, Trumps secret police
and those alt-right militias turn up. That is when the fun starts.
I think they were that way for quite a while but I suspect there are now
also darker forces on the far left who've got involved to counter the
alt.right loons.

Absolutely no idea, a lot of money is coming into the Democrats now and
Trump's hypocritical haste to fill the SCOTUS vacancy may get Democrats
out in force.

BTW I hear that Trump is now suggesting Ginsberg didn't say her

No, it's makeup. He usually dressed quite well and is never seen in
front of the cameras (other than at golf) casual, but when he came back
from the Tulsa rally fiasco, he got of the chopper with his tie undone
and his shirt unbuttoned. The staining on the collar was from his makeup.

However Trump is not out of option yet.
His militant supporters on his behest will turn up a voting booths on
mass harassing, blocking and turning away voters they think vote against
Trump. That is already happening in some districts.

Also, on his behest the pro Trump judiciary will try to stop vote
counting shortly after the night of the election discarding any postal
votes that comes in afterwards.

As usual, you are wrong.

In-person early voting is done in the county or city courthouse (the term used to describe the
building that houses the county or city government). As there are many offices of elected officials
as well as courtrooms in these buildings, protesters blocking entrances aren't tolerated.

LOL. But isn't it astounding that so many of [sic] have such defective
brains? Either they can't read for comprehension and thus failed to
understand your mention of 'voting booths' or they don't know what a
'voting booth' is.
I hope he is just being argumentative
I believe I have more familiarity with American voting stations than
either of you, since I have
been using them since 1972.
So you vote out in the open for everybody to see whom you're voting for. WOW
I see your reading comprehension hasn't improved a bit, although it
does seem adequate for
aus.politics.
So what is it? You vote in the privacy of a booth or out in the open so
others can see who you're voting for? Simple questions.
But far too complex a question for that moron who never could comprehend
your use of the term 'voting booth'.... Why do you continue to play
with these drones dechucka?

Ok then, simple answers for simple minds:

Back when my wife worked for the county official in charge of elections, I was drafted to help with
machines such as this--

They were wonderful old clunkers, similar to nearly all we used in that millennium. Totally
enclosed, complete privacy.

They were bulletproof and non-electronic, so they had to be ditched for this--

So you decide- are these cute little voting stations private?

The problem with getting old is you remember when things were better... and you overlook the the
obvious 3rd possibility.
